It is my belief that presidents often receive praise and blame for economic performances beyond their control or influence.

The purpose of my research is to illustrate that any claims, particularly by presidential candidates, that the economy or national finances were/are the best or worst in our nation's history during the Trump or Biden administrations are entirely contrary to the most relevant measurements.

We are going to explore data related to the following topics, which are among the most common and widely accepted measurements:

  1. US Gross Domestic Product (GDP)
  2. US Inflation - New Content!
  3. US Wage Growth
  4. US Personal Income and Savings
  5. US Standard of Living
  6. US Private and Public Debt
  7. US Federal Budgets
  8. US Investment and New Business Formations
  9. US Employment Rates - New Content!
