Given the unproductive, dishonest, and threatening nature of politics, as well as the rise of Republican fascism, I feel best to obscure my true identify behind the name Charles Musing, which is not at all random.

We live in an age of instant information, wherein nearly all sources of media are either entirely opinionated or intentionally void of important facts. This "news" is nothing more than persuasive argument, intended to evoke specific emotions, typically fear, hate, or anger, which arise from their repetition as perceived truth to minds that have neither time nor inclination to challenge or research their claims. The consequence -- unproductive, unnecessary, sharp division among the U.S. electorate. My objective is to provide inspiration for rational thoughtfulness and truth to provoke constructive ideas and solutions.

Who I am, what I look like, where my religious beliefs lie, and where I was raised should be insignificant. Evidence-based research, inductive and provocative editorials, and proposed solutions, should always transcend individual identity and demographics.

If you must know my background, in this age of the vain beauty contest, it is as follows:

  • I am middled-aged, male, and white
  • I was a registered Republican, until 2016, at which time I registered as an Independent
  • My beliefs align mostly with the Libertarian mindset, but I believe that arguing ideology is an unproductive exercise in futility as well as unamerican.
  • I believe evidence points to a mindset from our founding fathers that this country was based on a model of freedom for all ideologies and religions, and the modern movement for one faction to oppress others by making their ideology the law of the land is entirely unamerican
  • I am a professional in data, analytics, and artificial intelligence. I am accomplished and well compensated for my abilities to lead in these fields, generating value, elevating others, and demonstrating integrity and clarity
  • I constantly challenge my beliefs, and hold no views as sacred, except perhaps one: no parent should ever bury a child
  • I prefer to surround myself with diversity in thought and constructive opposing views -- I try to avoid the "echo chamber" in which too many humans languish
  • I believe all humans, especially U.S. citizens, being in the greatest imperfect country on earth, which has never ceased to be relatively great since its inception, are capable of achieving much more and should shun leaders who incite dissent among us, divide us with fiction and fear, and jeopardize the fundamental core of democracy.
